Hi Shar- Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better and hope your doctor's visit went OK. Did your rheumatologist change your prescription? I think they are all very conservative when it comes to prednisone. (Well, most of them). You are right about the Vioxx. I saw my internist yesterday and he said he thinks my rheumatologist is working toward adding another Rx like Vioxx. My ESR was 21, up very slightly, but he still considered it normal. However, he prescribed Lipitor because the prednisone raised my cholesterol level. Appointment with the rheumatologist in Nov. Hope you continue to feel better.
