Hi Shar- Wow!! You have really had a time of it. I hope you are feeling better now. How much Predisone are you on now? I never thought it would be this hard to taper off this medicine. I'm tapering on my own until I see my doctor, I'm down to 19/18 mg. He wanted me to go from 20 to 15 mg and I was afraid to go that fast after the last flare. My Rheum. wants me at 2 mg by April. I doubt it. I also just came down with a bad cold or the flu. My doctor prescribed Tequin for that and stopped the weekly shot of Pennicillin until next week. Otherwise, I am still taking the usual; Lipitor, Protonix, Actenol, occasional Darvocet, Vit. D. He had me on Rifampin, an old drug they are using a new way (for me, for the alleged Lyme Disease)and I began taking it about five days after starting the taper to 6 mg. daily. So I will leave it to the experts to decide what really caused the flare that sent me to the ER. Anyhow, I am beginning to feel better and I hope you are too. This has gone on too long. Be well. Ida
