Hi Ida, I forgot to add to my post from 2 days ago, that after I was taken off of Vioxx, I had a very bad flare, and my rheumy upped my Prednisone from 15mg to 25mg, to get it under control. It was difficult to taper from that dose, and I ended up on 20mg for another month after that increase. I also came down with bronchitis and had to be put on antibiotics. It seemed that everything was going wrong a few months ago, but things are beginning to settle down. I ended up gaining another 10 pounds though. Yikes! I can't seem to shed these new pounds, either.
