Polymyalgia and Prednisone

Hi Ida, It's good to hear from you! Don't feel too bad about the dose of Prednisone you are currently on. Really, that's not too high. I only hope that I can get to a dose of 10mg or under. That is sometimes considered a maintenance dose. I'm still on 14mg, and I am noticing some pain in my fingers, but not too much. I also have more fatigue. That is worse than dealing with the mild pain in my fingers. I am feeling somewhat discouraged. Oh well. I'm trying to hang in there. Maybe, by next week, things will improve. I think I'll have to wait a little longer before trying another taper. I was hoping that by next week, I could go down by maybe 1/2mg, but I doubt that now. I take 1500mg of calcium which also has Vitamin D in it. Like you, I also drink milk. I have always liked milk. Also, I try to get some walking in almost every day. Exercise is good for the bones. Ida, I hope you feel better with every day! Let me know how you are doing. Hang in there! Best wishes! Shar
