Hi Ida, Isn't it something that your PMR has been going on for 3 years! My rheumy said that it can go anywhere from 2 to 5 years, but that for some unlucky few, it never ends. It seems that my PMR is gone, and I have RA now. I just called my rheumy today, because of a bad relapse with terrible fatigue and increased joint pain yesterday and today. He wants to wait on the Enbrel, because it is a very serious drug, and instead, add Sulfasalazine to my Methotrexate. I also have to increase my Prednisone for a few weeks. I won't start the Sulfa drug until my next appointment with him in the very beginning of May. I am upset about having to increase the Prednisone, since I have gained over 30 pounds, and none of my clothes fit! I don't want to gain any more! Grrrrrr! What does your doctor think about the duration of your PMR? How are you feeling on the slight taper of Prednisone? Is your fatigue worse in the mornings, like mine is?
