Hi Shar- Glad to hear from you. Hope you had a good summer. Have you started your Actonel yet? That is what I take once a week and have had no problems so far. Hope it works for you. My rheumatologist retired suddenly- two days before my appointment. I am still on 8 mg of Prednisone, but am trying to taper myself until I see another doctor. I am tapering much slower than he did, (six days on 8 mg and one on 7 mg.)I do not feel the change and plan to try five days on 8 and two on 7 until I find a new rheumatologist. I saw my internist yesterday and he gave my some referrals. Kidney infection is over, but I am seeing a urologist next week. My new internist seems to think I have had PMR too long and it could be something else. The former doctor thought it was Lymes. However, on the whole, (today) I don't think I feel as bad as a year ago. I do hope you soon are a lot better. Best wishes for good health, Ida
