Hi Shar- Hope this post finds you feeling well. Have you started the Actonel yet? I am back on 8mg of Prednisone daily. My new internist did some blood work and as a result said not to taper. I also noticed he did a test for Lupus-negative. As for swelling in the joints- never had that, only pain in the muscles and extreme fatigue and a very high sedrate. Like my former doctor, this doctor thinks I have had PMR too long and thinks it might be something else? Have you started your taper yet and how do you feel? Hope all is well and keep me posted.
