Hi Carol. I'm sorry that you are having more pain, but don't get discouraged. My rheumy said there will be good days and some bad. That's how this disease goes. The good news is that it isn't permanent! I haven't had any pain in my back, but I have some pain in my shoulders and arms. I can pretty much ignore it, though, because it is minor. Are you only taking Prednisone for your PMR? I've been on 25 mg of Vioxx nightly, since I first was diagnosed. I think it helps somewhat. Are you bothered by fatigue?
