Hi Ida, I'm glad to hear from you too. I'm sorry you are experiencing more pain and fatigue. I am too. I had to go up to 9mg on the Prednisone and I doubled my dose of Mobic too. It does get discouraging. It's been 5 years for me, and I am wondering if I'll ever get off of Prednisone! A third opinion might be a good idea, Ida. I thought that Lyme Disease should clear up with treatment. It must be very similar to polymyalgia, if the one doctor thinks it is that, and your other doctor thinks it is PMR. I wish they could treat it with something that makes it go away. It has to be frustrating for you. I think I know how you feel. I hope your new year brings good health and happiness. Write soon.
