I have seen friends go through this. The nits can go into the stuffed animals, bedding, clothes, rugs, etc.... For bedding and stuffed animals you have to wrap everything in plastic or put it in plastic bags so no air can get in. This should kill them. Personally, I would throw out the stuffed animals because I'd rather get rid of the problem for sure.
