I had a very similar problem several years ago. Could not walk well for nearly 2 years due to lumbar injury, could not sleep either due to severe pain. My advice is to get yourself to a pain clinic. I finally did, and guess what? I wasn't crazy. The Dr's there recommended a epidural steroid injection at the injury site and to say it was a miracle would not be far off the mark. Don't waste any more of your precious time on Dr's who won't believe you.
