Holly, I am still recovering from an open radical synovectomy on July 12th. The MD also replaced the plastic under my knee cap because the pvns got in between the bone and the replacement. also he said the pvns had caused a misalignment of the patella. I am still going for PT but no one really know what kind of PT you need besides strengthening all the muscles. The doctor doesn't know when the synovium will regrow and if it will regrow without the pvns. Does your doctor know how to tell when the soft tissue has grown back and if it is tumor free?
