I just had my gall bladder removed last week Mon. and I too am having much pain under my right ribcage as well as constnt nausea. I went to see my GI specialist today and he is sending me for a repeat ultrasound and HIDA scan and probably an ECRP procedure. He stated the problem could be a few things such as bile that may have leaked out during the surgery or a problem w/my sphincter of oddi muscle which is probably in spasm. I even had to go to the ER on Mon. night and spent 8.5 hrs there!! Please email me again because I would like to discuss this further. Your problem sounds fairly similiar to mine. Also, my GI specialist told me my gall bladder would have needed to be removed anyway because when I had the HIDA scan the first time it was positive for cholecystitis. I feel the pain much more often now and actually more severe each time. I certainly do not want to live my life like this! I look forward to talking to you again.
