I had those cortisone injections several years ago. Come on now, they arn't as painful as the complaint and help for about three weeks. After three of them, I elected to have surgery which took a bit of time to recover from, but did the trick. I am now OK Even at 60 years. ( You might find it helpful to try to reduce your weight if you're on the heavy side). I'm only suggesting that ,not nagging to make you feel guilty about the few extra pounds, but it really does improve things Good Luck Extoskip
