First of all, you have no reason to feel ashamed, no matter how your family behaves...this does not sound like something you have control over. I'd like to suggest you see a Urologist,he(or she) should be able to help you cope, or help you find a solution to this problem. Doctors are "immune" to our body shapes etc.and no GOOD Doc. would make you feel self conscious. I hope you do not delay this since there is (in my opinion)will be relief that you have done something about the problem. I had to come home from the hospital one time after surgery...with a urine collection bag to carry along with me where ever I went until the Dr. removed the catheter at a later date...this was not fun,but I (and my family) knew it had to be that way for a while. I do hope you will try to get to a Dr. to see if you have injured yourself, and in what way, and then you can get on with the business of "just keeping on keeping on"...tell your family to "go fly a kite" if they have nothing better to do than criticize someone who needs help.
