I don't have Lupus, but went through alot of the same issues with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I finally applied for Social Security. It took 8 months or so to get it approved. They usually deny it the first time and then I got a disability advocate to appeal for me. It took the stress off me and she knew the loopholes. It cost a little of the settlement, but stress really activates the pain and exhaustion! Go for it now, so when you can't work, it is there for you. Also there is also that insurance issue for those of us with problems. My medicare is working out for me. Good luck!
