Hi, I also have IC. I have had it now for four years. I see a urologist and he had prescribed Elmiron for my IC symptoms. I was getting substantial relief then I began having side effects from the drug. Unfortunately I had to go off the drug. Of course my symptoms returned. I don't know what my doctor plans next. I have an appointment in May. I just try to live with the symptoms. Some days are not to bad and others are quite bad. You can get info on the Internet on Elmiron. I can't recall their Internet site at the moment. It is a very expensive drug but if you have insurance it helps considerably. Good luck J.W..
