hello mieke, I was diagnosed with ic in oct.2001. before then in aug I was hosptialized because of temperature and severe pain pain and pelvic area. The drs. didn't know what was happening to me they tried 3 different meds on me. urinary tract infection,kidney and something else. I can't remember. and before that I thought I kept getting yeast infections and far as pain goes I thought that was menstrual and when I was younger like 15 and up that's what I thought until much later in my life. so I came a long way and Yes still trying to get comfortable. My dr. gave me elmiron to take. I think it help with the sharp pains but not with the pelvic deeper pains I still have. I'm still searching for a cure and I believe we all are.
