Hi, yes insurance pays 100% of the 5day stay! and it helps with the pain for a few months and it is totally worth giving up 3- 5 days for months of relief. I have resigned myself to the fact that I have I.C. and atleast I am lucky enough to have this for an option. It does not help with the spasms; however, there is a new medicine out called "detrol"and it is expecially for spasms and it works wonders!!! you take 1 pill twice a day. I feel that it also helps with the pain a bit. your urologist can call it in over the phone to the pharmacy. I have not heard of the study you may be in. I am very interested in hearing about it.
