hi there, iam 23 years old living in florida and i was diagnosed with scoliosis when i was about 13 years old in middle school. i went to a doctor and he recommended me to wear a back brace for 2 years hoping that would correct my curvature but no guarentees..but i was willing to try anything besides haveing surgery done since i had never had surgery before. Well at the age of 15 my curvature just kept getting worse and the brace was unable to work and back surgery was the only way to go. Luckily i new a friend in my high school who had just went through the operation less than a year ago at that time and recommended me to an awesome Dr. who really did a wonderful operation on me here in florida and iam soooo thankful to this day i went through with it. i dont know how bad your curvature is but mine was in an S-curve of i believe 60-70 degree curve which was really uncomfortable for me towards the end of each day. i would not recommend going to a chiropractor i dont see how he could help and correct this problem.
