I am 21, and i just had my Tonsils removed on June 10th. Its now the 23rd and i am still having pain (from my tongue rubbing against tender area's of my throat) and all my taste buds on my tongue fell off literally about 6 days ago and still have not regrown back to 100%. This is the first major surgery i have had (the only other was my wisdom teeth, i thought that was bad but damn, this is 10000x worse) and 13 days later the pain meds are gone and my body is having horrible withdrawls from this medicine. My taste is extremely scewed and nothing tastes as it should so i have no desire to eat or drink anything but water. Ice packs helped SO much, i never didnt have one on my neck and that helped during the first few weeks til the dizziness went away. I got a Rx version of Dramameen (the little patch you put behind your ear if you get motion sickness) to deal with the nausua and it helped sooo much. The ear aches for me went away quickly with a cold ice pack on the neck, which relieved the pain from both. I can say at this point, though once i finally recover fully i will probably renig this, i would not do it, and if i did i would research the doctor prior first because the problems i had with the doctor and his office made the whole situation just that much more worse.
