Susan, your story is so-o-o-o familiar! It seems that whether it is diagnosed as psoas bursitis, trochanteric bursitis, piriformis syndrome (piriformis & psoas muscles are very close to each other and both deep), the outcome for cure is the same. If I ever find something that really helps I'll post. Chris
