I just wanted to share with all you chronic bursitis sufferers that I have found that using a TENS unit can be helpful. I've been able to cut down somewhat on the narcotic pain pills by using the TENS unit. I bought the unit on my own out of desparation. I find it odd that none of the many doctors I've seen for this unending pain and disability have suggested trying a TENS unit. It will not completely block pain when it is the acute, horrible, "in-your-face" intense "killer" pain, but it is good when you are experiencing the more achy/nagging type of pain that can ruin your day. Hope this helps someone out there!
