I once at a v young age had a ventral hernia to the side of the naval which no matter how i tried could not be found for 3 years. I would bet her hernia IS still there and as i did, she may have tae just seek out the best general surgeons and consult w them til she finds one good enough to find the hernia. Even the considered top surgeons , but for one could not find mine. Her hermia could rupture if not repaired so it is imperative u Not give up. Does she feel a pea sized hard type object beneath the skin upon careful self examination of the area ? I did but for years was the only one who could properly locate it. Mine finally ruptured before surgery was done and that is the LAST thing u want. GO WITH YOUR HEART I SAY 2 her. NO DOCTOR knows your body better than the patient.
