Hi my mom is 83 years old and in relatively good health even though she has arthritas about 5 years ago she developed a severe pain just below her navel and was diagnosed as having a hernia no medical procidure was done she was just told to avoid lifting or long standing etc. about 3 weeks ago she started having problems. She could not have a bowel movement, she went to our local hospital and xrays etc done nothing was found , and she was given stool softners and told to drink lots of fluid and also take METAMUCIL but the pain has got worse especially during the night. I am hoping that you can give me some insight or advice. thanking you in advance. Dorothy
