I can tell you what got rid of my tendonitis. Hopefully it will help you. I had a terrible case in both elbows from carrying my son in a body cast. He was in and out of casts for three years and he weighed up to 100 lbs. in the casts, so I really abused my arms. I started taking Knox gelatin (the unflavored stuff) one packet a day in hot tea (you can put it in anything). In a matter of days I had no more pain. I had done this once before when I had a heel spur. I had had one removed surgically (it was the largest the doctor had ever seen). I had a running injury where I had hurt both heels at the same time. After 10 years they were excrutiating. I tried all the normal medical routes, but nothing helped. After having the first one removed I waited 3 years and was about to have the other one removed. My husband suggested I try the Knox gelatin. It had really helped him with a back injury. After three days using the Knox gelatin I had no more pain and continue to be painfree nearly 7 years later. Same with my elbows. The reason Knox gelatin works so well is because it's main ingredient in chondroitin. Chondroitin works in the body to put the "stretch" back into connective tissue. When you injure your elbows and spurs occur, which is what tendonitis is, a bone spur, the connective tendons atrophy (shorten). The chondroitin works to make the tendons stretch again, back to their natural length. Otherwise, each time you experience pain, you are actually tearing that tendon and the bone spur is getting larger. Try the Knox gelatin (don't get Nutrajoint or anything flavored, you get more additives and less chondroitin). It's an inexpensive way to help your elbows heal. By the way, when I cancelled my heel spur surgery, my orthopedic doctor asked me to come in and let him look at my foot. He couldn't believe I had no more pain. I used to jump off the table when he would press on it. He now recommends Knox gelatin as a first course for heel spur pain.
