I had scoliosis surgery 4/18/01 at Emory Univeristy and it changed my life. I would say this was the best thing I ever did next to marrying my husband. Before surgery I was virtually criple - my curve had changed from 30 deg to 60 deg after a hysterectomy. I am 42 years old. My only problem I see at this point is I still have a little numbness in my buttocks, but I could live with that the rest of my life rather than the way I was. Good luck to you.
