About 10 months ago, my 3 year old son was diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum. His pediatrician said there was no treatment, other than "digging out" the centers. I let it go for several months, but the growths seemed to be spreading so I tried digging the centers out of several of them. Needless to say, it was quite painful for my son, so I sought the advice of his pediatrician again. This time she prescribed retin-A. I'm very concerned that this virus could spread to my 4 month old daughter. Should I take my son to a dermatologist to pursue a more aggressive treatment?
