Darren, not knowing where your girlfriend is at with emphysema I can't say how "much" quitting will help, but I can definetly tell you that if she doesn,t it will continue to get worse until she ends up like me. On 02 24/7 can't walk 30 ft without gasping for air and thats "with"oxygen. I waited to late. Please don't make the same mistake. Take care, Peg
