I would suggest that he see a neurologist that specializes in neuropathy. My husband suffered in the same way and they found out that there was a protein in his plasma that destroyed the outside of nerve cells installation. He went through 12 treatments that go rid of the protein but it was too late for him. He had Diabetes since 1987. I hope this will help you and your husband.
