Plantar Fasciitis

I have suffered from plantar fasciitis with the implication of Achilles' tendonitis for almost two years. The pain in my foot also triggers the pain in my knees (way back I had a knee injury.) I have tried a variety of things--icing, heating pads, ultrasound, lazor treatment, acupuncture, orthotic pads, exercising, having my foot in a cast for 3 weeks. I am now being treated by an orthopedic doctor. The pain seems to lessen a bit. However, at this point, I still cannot walk much. Pain (both in my knees and foot) becomes part of life. I was told that surgery is unnecessary. I don't want to try cortizone injections since the areas of pain seems to shift a lot. Does anybody know what I should do? Any suggested treatment that might work? A note to those who are also suffering from plantar fasciitis, please be patient. During the two years of living with the pain, I learn that stress and anxiety contribute a great deal to the pain. If at this point we still can't find the most effective way to heal our physical pain, please do take care of our mental health. Thank you very much
