My husband and I have 4 kids and one of them has had pnemonia four times in the last five years, he is only seven and we couldn't get the information on how to prevent him from getting each year. We tried and talked until we were almost annoyed even asking any more. Well we took him to an herbalist(acupuncturist), no our son didn't get the acupuncture, but he does take herbs 3x's daily. The idea is that there is an inbalance within and when you get yourself balanced internally, the symptons that are coming out will go away. Our son has been wonderful, he had a weak immune system, had a cough or cold what seemed like all of the time, which naturally made him tired and he just had no energy. The day we took him to the herbalist to "try one more thing", he was starting to get sick and was sad, and run down, he had two doses of his herbs and later that day he didn't have any signs of being sick, he also had his normal nutty energy back. We havn't seen any problems since then and it has been great. We also knew the whole time that if it didn't work, it wasn't going to do any harm and we wouldn't lose a ton of money trying it. When I read your letter it sounded like it might be an internal problem and not just an allergic reaction. You could always find someone in the practice you are comfortable with and that can check to see what they say. I know some people aren't comfortable with eastern medicine, but we have been grateful to have tried it and it's always worth a shot to try whatever you can to be healthy and feeling better.
