Hey, from what you say it sounds like you may have herpes #1 and if that is what it is, it will never go away. Sad but true. Though to help with pain and breakouts you may want to ask your doctor for a medicine called Valtrex. It really does mircles, I should know, I have herpes #2, which involves the genitals and is a repetitous thing, I hate it! Valtrex is in the Acyclovir family and is expensive. 30 day supply cost $112.00, but it works very well. Insurance covers it, but that I don't have right now, so I am not that fortunate yet.
