my mom -67,had whipple april 2ooo, she was healthy otherwise. she was in the hospital for 5-6 weeks.after that she had littl appetite.each month she got stronger &stronger,no chemo or radiation.she is maintaining her weight and eats well. it has been long and stressful. but worth it.she developed a hernia. after 8months and had it repaired, so she is slowed down again, but we are encouraged.
