Hi Paula, I first had pericarditis 2 years ago and have had recurrences since then. I'm otherwise healthy, 37 years old. My doctors say the only treatment is aspirin or ibuprofen for the chest pain. It's annoying, isn't it? I just thought I'd let you know you're not the only one out there with this condition.
