I am 26 and had the same problem since I was 8, your daughters age...I was getting strep 8-9 times a year and after moving to different states seemed to get a little better. In the past 3-4 years have had infections, but neg for strep. I finally found a doctor who referred me to an Ears,Nose,Throat (ENT) specialist. Thank god for the ENT, because it is more allergy/sinus problem causing these horrific infections. Since I had been getting these infections SO often the ENT was surprised no-one took my tonsils out...I now will go in for a tonsilectomy 7/7/04--it's not a procedure many doctors do -- especially for adults, I would see an ENT to pin point the problem...good luck
