I just had my tonsils out yesterday, Sept. 2 because of recurret strep infections. I have had strep seven times in the past year. I have a 22 month old son who has gotten strep everytime I have. My tonsils were not enlarged, but very scarred and apparantly harboring the virus. The Dr. seems to think that this will prevent my son having to get his tonsils out,but I m tellng you...it is rough!
