Recurrent Strep Throat infections

Deanna

Message 18 of 28 Previous Next

My daughter is 5 years old, and ever since she started preschool, I have been fighting strep throat infections with her. She averages one strep throat infection a month. Finally, her pediatricain recommended her tonsils be removed. I am keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping this works. She has no symptoms of strep throat other than a white, coated tongue....no fever, no tiredness, nothing........I can't afford to miss work every time she gets strep. It is weird, most mom's would freak at the thought of their child coming down with strep, but it has happened so many times, that it is almost a routine...."Mel has strep, hon....gotta take her to the Dr. again." "Oh, ok, whatever...." Her pediatrcian finally has recommended that her tonsils be removed. Hope this works...........
