Recurrent Strep Throat infections

My first thought when I read your post was: What in her lifestyle is causing recurrent strep infections? Are you being scrupulous in hand-washing, not sharing utensils/food while infected, are you taking any Probiotics?? These are "friendly bacteria" and when you take antibiotics, they (antibiotics) also kill off the good bacteria that live in your tummy. These friendly bacteria are a must in your system! You can get them in plain or other yogurt (though I recommend plain or with minimal fruit if you can't bear the plain) AND go to health food store for probiotics, one of which is acidophilous. There are many strains of probiotics and I think you need to seriously consider taking these if you've been on antibiotics so much. You will find probiotics refrigerated at health food store and you should keep them in your fridge, too. Of courses, check with your Dr. first on taking these but I assure you, they will not cause problems and I bet they help! I am thinking, as I write, that maybe eating some yogurt as well as taking the probiotics might help moreso, as it will come in contact with your throat area. Talk to a knowledgeable person at the health food place for more info. I wish you well!
