Kelly, I am 37 yrs. old and have had I.C. since 1984, (not diagnosed correctly until 1987). It is a horrible thing to have. After many, many attempts to alleviate the pain, I received much comfort from DMSO, hydrocortisone, and sodium bicarbonate instilled into the bladder. I have been taking Elmiron for about one year also. I have noticed frequency has subsided a great deal. Just stick with the Elmiron. It takes a long time before it starts working. Ask your doctor about "DMSO cocktails". They worked for me!
