i don't really know alot about dyspraxia,but i do know alot about add/adhd.it sounds like he might have add. ritalin stimulates a certain part of the brain, but if thats not the part that is not doing what it is supposed to then that medicine won't work. my son has adhd and my daughter has add. they both run in my family. have you tried adderal, a non-cunvulsive such as clonidine, they have come out with tomoxetine recently, there is research that shows amphetamines can help, and there is alsoresearch showing that serotonin may even be linked to hyperactivity. so there are all kinds of medicines that you can explore with his psychiatrist.
