The best way to handle any illness is to sit down with the family and let them know you are not supermom. I don't have ms but I do have the chemical injury (for 8 years) and it has totally changed our lives. I also have fibro, severe allergies and everything associated with a chemical injury. Our family of 5 has learned to work as a team. We work together so that no one has any major responsibilities. My boys are responsible for their own laundry, each clean up after a meal, and make their own lunches for school. They are responsible for picking up after themselves. Just don't expect perfection or expect things folded or pillowcases folded a specific way. It works great for us. It takes off the pressure. Once the pressure is off the body relaxes a little which helps with some of the symptoms. Everyone in the family has to realize what "family" means. Be firm also. It has been a blessing for our children to realize we are all human and we all need each other. If you have the love and support of each other you can make it through anything. There's so much those little ones can do. Praise them and just let them know how happy mom is when they tidy up their things. Take care, Kathy
