I had the surgery for Thoracic outlet syndrome about 10 years ago. I had the 1st rib removed on the left side. The surgery was very painful. It did relieve some of the symptoms for awhile. But I still have alot of numbness and tingling in my L hand . I still have alot of pain and swelling in my neck. I am not sure that I would have the surgery again if I had to do it over again.
