Hi. I can't answer all your questions about surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome as of yet but I can keep you posted. I had a right 1st rib resection done April 17th 2000. Seeing that it has been only 3 weeks since surgery I can't help you much right now. If you like I can keep in touch with you and let you know how I am doing. I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet Aug. 1992, due to the complete impingement of circulation to my right arm in a raised position I had the surgery done. I'm 33yrs. old and just graduated Aug. 1999 as a Radiology Technologist, this profession requires alot of physical work as well as continual work above shoulder level. I like my job and want to continue to do it so surgery was my only option. Write back and let me know more about you, it helps to talk with other "victims".
