Hi! My Mom,74,was just diagnosed with PMR,too and will be starting with 10mg Prednisone tomorrow. I would give anything to see her out of pain and the despair she's felt for quite awhile now. I'm hoping this med will do the trick but I know it has some pretty difficult to deal with side effects. I've come across people suggesting that there is a new treatment but don't know anything about it. Any thoughts or info on this would be so much appreciated. Melteeth@aol.com
