i had the same symptoms as many of you have described with the ear or ears and the problem of feeling much like being in an airplane and unable to completely open the eustation tube. my problem was with only one ear and after many years of decongestants etc. found that all of those years of suffering was due to a blocked sinus directly above the eye. go to the right doctor and have a complete sinus series of x-rays done to properly diagnose the condition of the sinus. don't think it isn't worth the time and money...good luck.
