I have three children that went through that last school year. I was told by my doctor that the lice grew immune to the chemicals prescribed and he told me to soak their heads in mayonnaise and wrap either plastic wrap or a towel on their heads overnight and then let the shower it off in the morning. This should suffocate the lice and the eggs as well. good luck!
