My husband and son have the sickle cell trait which is unusual since they are white which this only usually runs in african americans well anyways my husband and to be on cumudin a blood thinner and then he had to take a baby asprin everyday but you do need to check with your doctor and also check with getting disabality or ssi to get help with the medication because they usually have a medicade program and will help with it..God bless you will be praying
