I had Punctum plugs (which look like short pieces of fishing line, but hollow) put in over a year ago. It took about 5 minutes, was almost painless, costs about $400 and has relieved the problem. Prior to the plugs, I hated to go anywhere in the evening because I looked so tired and had red eyes and difficulty focusing. You just have to remember to keep you hands away from your eyes, which you should do anyway. No problems! Good Luck.
