I was first diagnosed with MVP about 22 years ago when I was hospitalized for tachycardia and cardiac arrhythmias. I didn't realize that MVP could cause the pain and breathlessness you describe (although I have always been easily winded myself). Have you considered going to another doctor to see if you really have to live with these scary symptoms? It also makes sense that you would want to make sure you were thoroughly checked for any other problems that might be contributing to your symptoms. I hope that you are able to find some relief (perhaps with the help of a new doctor?). Good luck to you!
